**General Production / Electrical Assembly** **Shift** First 6:00a - 2:30p + OT after training **Pay** $15, Overtime pays $22.50 **Location** McCook or La Grange **Job Description** You will be trained to perform electronic assembly of switches for military, government, agriculture, and healthcare sectors. The role involves handling small parts, requiring excellent hand-eye coordination. You will utilize hand tools to build various component parts and gather necessary materials. This position requires you to place components onto PC boards, necessitating experience with small precision hand tools. The work will be conducted at your own station, involving prolonged periods of standing and sitting, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail. **Responsibilities** + Perform electronic assembly of switches for various sectors. + Handle small parts with excellent hand-eye coordination. + Use hand tools to assemble different component parts. + Gather and organize necessary materials for assembly. + Place components onto PC boards with precision. + Work at an individual station, involving standing and sitting throughout the day. + Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all tasks. **Essential Skills** + Experience with electronic assembly and soldering. + Proficiency in using hand and power tools. + Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Solder certification is a plus but not required. + Experience with pick and place machinery is beneficial and may result in adjusted pay. **Why Work Here?** This role offers the potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance, with a history of employees achieving permanent status within 6-7 months. Temperature checks and medical questions are conducted at the start and end of each shift to ensure a safe working environment. The position is located in McCook and Lagrange, with 1st shift hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and potential overtime leading to a 50-60 hour workweek. The starting time in Lagrange may be as early as 5:30 AM **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mc Cook, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
