Key Responsibilities – New Technology Research, Evaluation, and Implementation

  • Lead research and assessment of new products, services, and software within the residential technology market
  • Perform detailed technology evaluations considering function, value, quality, vendor reputation, and integration with existing systems
  • Develop clear, data-driven recommendations for new offerings, presenting your findings to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Work with cross-functional teams to package, position, and price new technology solutions for optimal market fit
  • Coordinate pilot programs, test deployments, and user feedback collection to validate effectiveness
  • Establish implementation plans and oversee the successful rollout and execution of new technology solutions across the organization
  • Maintain accurate records of research, evaluations, and recommendations for ongoing process improvement
  • Stay informed on technology trends, consumer preferences, and competitor offerings in home automation and integration
  • Uphold compliance, quality, and customer satisfaction benchmarks during technology adoption initiatives
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly evaluate technical solutions and market offerings
  • Clear written and verbal communicator, able to present complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including organization and attention to detail
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, fast-paced, team-focused environment
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues, vendors, and business partners
  • Proficiency with Google Office Suite; exposure to ERP, CRM, or inventory systems is a plus
  • Approaches problem solving with curiosity, creativity, and a customer-first mindset
  • Adaptable, self-motivated, and committed to professional growth
Preferred Education & Experience – Technology Product Specialist
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, business, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in technology research, product evaluation, project management, or a related role – preferably in home automation, consumer electronics, or software products
  • Prior experience recommending, packaging, or launching products or services is highly valued
