This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento. 

Under the direction of the Manager IV, DMV, the Office Technician (Typing) will provide clerical support by typing and preparing responses to various correspondence; provide primary phone coverage for the Program Services and Policy Unit; serve as the Personnel Attendance Coordinator; and maintain and prepare personnel items and documents for the unit. These duties involve sensitive and confidential matters which require diplomacy, tact, and good judgment.

This Limited Term position may be extended to 24 months and may become Permanent.

The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.

Working Conditions

Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency. This position offers hybrid telework opportunities; however, telework arrangements are subject to change at any time based on State & departmental operational needs. Employees may be required to report to the office as necessary.

Special Requirements

• The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired.
