Well-established manufacturing plant in the greater Morristown, TN area has immediate opening for a Sr. Buyer. The Sr. Buyer will develop sourcing strategies for assigned components to reduce material cost while improving gross margin and product quality. Position reports to the Purchasing Director.
Will negotiate contracts with raw material suppliers including price, volumes, payment terms, and other protections. This position is responsible for sourcing components for two plant locations. The Sr. Buyer will also work closely with Supply Chain and Finance groups. Open to any purchasing background that deals with multiple SKU's. Experience sourcing chemicals, plastics, or similar raw materials is a plus.Qualified candidates will have BS degree and at least 5 years Purchasing experience in manufacturing.
