We are looking for an experienced SITE SAFETY COORDINATOR   for a project based in New Albany, OH.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct site audits and assessments to ensure compliance with Federal, State and client requirements
  • Conduct accident/incident investigations, near miss, property damage, assist with claim management, and implements corrective action items to avoid reoccurrence. 
  • Attends client meetings, develop site specific safety plans, attend kick off meetings, and assist in close out meeting action items.
  • Perform orientation training for new employees, equipment training, FA/CPR, NFPA 70E, CSE, etc. 
  • Maintain a schedule for equipment testing such as CSE, arc rated equipment, etc.
  • Assist with developing and revising JHA’s, SSSP’s, PowerPoint training slides, and other safety programs.
  • Assume any additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by Sargent Electrical Management.

SKILLS:

  • Excellent written communication skills.  Proficient with computers, particularly Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to type.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of diverse individuals.
  • Works efficiently under tight time frames, responds to requests in a timely manner, and communicates effectively as a team player. 
  • Understands the importance of being able to multi-task.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management (or similar field).
  • Ability to speak in front of public.
  • 1-3 years' experience in construction safety management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong planning, prioritizing, and presentation skills.
  • BCSP Credentials.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications.
