Job Description

Position Overview:

We’re seeking a highly strategic and data-savvy leader to join our team as Senior Director, Strategic Analytics. In this role, you'll serve as a critical thought partner to executive leadership, using analytics to drive business strategy, unlock growth opportunities, and inform decisions across the organization.

You’ll lead a talented team focused on uncovering trends in audience behavior, content performance, platform engagement, and revenue drivers across our digital and linear ecosystems. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proactive mindset — able to identify opportunities, prioritize high-impact work, and operate with autonomy in a fast-paced, evolving environment turning complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that move the business forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior executives to identify key questions, shape hypotheses, and deliver data-driven insights that inform corporate strategy, growth planning, and business optimization.
  • Build and lead a high-performing analytics team; mentor and develop talent while fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and impact.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for business growth, cost reduction, and operational efficiency through data-driven analysis.
  • Lead efforts to gather external market data and benchmark performance against industry trends to support strategic planning.
  • Define and track core marketplace health metrics, flagging risks and surfacing opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop predictive models to guide strategic planning, market expansion, and performance forecasting.
  • Utilize a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods (e.g., surveys, competitive benchmarking, market analysis, first-party behavioral data) to develop strategic frameworks and business cases that support strategic initiatives
  • Translate complex analytical findings into compelling narratives and presentations for C-suite and board audiences.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, strategy, or business intelligence, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or director-level role.
  • Proven track record of driving impact through strategic analytics in a complex, data-rich environment (e.g. tech, media, finance, or consulting).
  • Strong expertise in media analytics, including multi-platform measurement (linear TV, streaming, mobile, web, OTT, etc.) and viewer behavior analysis, audience segmentation, content performance, churn prediction
  • Expertise in advanced analytics techniques (forecasting, regression, clustering, A/B testing) and tools (SQL, Python/R, Tableau, etc.).
  • Self-starter and strategic thinker with a consultative approach — capable of identifying opportunities, framing the problem, and driving toward solutions with minimal direction.
  • Strong business acumen and comfort engaging with executive stakeholders across diverse business domains.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills — able to distill complex analysis into clear, persuasive insights.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, MBA).
  • Prior experience in management consulting or corporate strategy roles highly preferred

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change based on Manager discussion or business need.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Learn more about the benefits offered by NBCUniversal by visiting the Benefits page of the Careers website. Salary range: $175,000 - $220,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible).
