Powder Coat Painter

Powder Coat Painters are like the bass guitar players of the painting world. They have a groove to keep the pace while totally in control. It’s all in the wrist. Lay down some licks and get your material to us before the music ends.

Starting Date: ASAP
Employment Term: Regular
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Hours (shift): 2nd Shift - Monday thru Friday 2pm to 10pm - Must be able to train on 1st shift
Starting Salary: $20 per hour or more Depending on Experience
Salary/Benefit Notes: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Vacation, Paid Holidays
Required Education: High School Degree
Required Experience: Open

We are looking for an outside the box Powder Coat Paint Technician who aspires to grow and succeed in a paint job-shop. The ideal candidate for this position would be able to do the following

Responsibilities:

• Assist in operating a Nordson Colormax Powder booth

• Understand setting KVs and Powder flow to optimize coating process

• Help program and set up recipes for job shop parts environment

• Meet quality, safety, and production standards.

• Apply coatings to various substrates (large and small parts) using new, state of the art powder equipment in a fast paced production environment

• Identify, trouble shoot, and correct potential quality issues associated with coatings, equipment, and part presentation

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• 2+ years of experience as a Powder Paint Sprayer

• Prior experience in a job shop setting
