Join Our Team as a Plastics Processing Specialist!

Located in beautiful Canandaigua, we are actively seeking a talented Plastics Processing Specialist to join us. Imagine working in an environment where your safety and skill-level are prioritized as you operate our state-of-the-art Extrusion and Thermoforming machines. We offer competitive compensation—starting at $20.76 per hour, paid weekly.

Shift Details:

You'll work the C-Shift (3:30-11:30pm), enjoying Sundays and Mondays off. During your training period, benefit from having Fridays and Saturdays off instead!

Role Overview:

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of Extrusion/Thermoforming machinery, exceeding operational standards.
• Diagnose and correct machine-related problems swiftly, adjusting as needed.
• Offer creative solutions for any production challenges encountered.
• Mentor new team members and support their growth.
• Complete accurate shift documentation, keeping track of crew time, machine usage, and production volumes.
• Recognize and address product defects via machine adjustments.
• Uphold housekeeping, work standards, and safety rules strictly.
• Show competence in mechanical understanding, problem-solving, and communication, both written and spoken.

Hire Criteria:

• Demonstrable manual dexterity and exceptional communication skills.
• Aptitude for detailed record-keeping.
• Strong hand/eye coordination and analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency with math for production data calculation.
• Basic troubleshooting knowledge for machine operation.
• Familiarity with production measurement tools.
• Comprehensive understanding of product quality benchmarks and Thermoforming principles.

Your Expertise:

• Mechanical troubleshooting acumen.
• Experience with plastic extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding.
• Competence in blueprint reading.

Tools & Equipment:

• Injection and extrusion machinery.
• Precision measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
• Blow molding devices.
