Job Description
Title: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Minnetonka, MN
Duration: 12 Month Assignment on W2 (100% Onsite)
Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM – 2:00 AM (4 x 10-hour shifts)
Position Summary This role requires technical expertise and a strong understanding of manufacturing operations and business objectives. The Manufacturing Engineer will take ownership of complex technical tasks, provide proactive leadership in a specific manufacturing discipline, and deliver innovative solutions to improve production processes. The position involves anticipating and resolving issues where precedent may not exist, requiring creative thinking and application of new methods.
Key Responsibilities - Provide technical support to the manufacturing line.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
- Design tooling and fixtures to support production and reduce quality or safety risks.
- Improve product quality, labor efficiency, and throughput using lean manufacturing principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve safety, quality, or yield issues.
- Lead and manage complex engineering tasks with multiple interrelated components.
- Conduct peer reviews for task approach and validation activities.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Chemical, Biomedical, or related engineering discipline.
- 1–3 years of engineering experience (or 2–5 years for advanced technical tasks).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities effectively.
- Innovative mindset with a focus on creative solutions.
- Excellent collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in medical device manufacturing.
- Tools, Systems, and Technologies
- Manufacturing of catheters.
- Processes such as reflow, molding, and ultrasonic welding.
