General Description: ASO Systems is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Onsite information technology (IT) Support Specialist to support the implementation of the Campus Cafe Student Information System (SIS) ( at Haskell Indian Nations University (HINU) in Lawrence, Kansas. This position involves providing full-time onsite support for eight months and part-time support for three months during the security clearance process. The successful candidate will ensure the seamless operation of the Campus Cafe SIS, deliver training to HINU staff, and offer timely technical support.

Mandatory Requirements:

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, with at least 1 year in a Tier 1/2 support role.
• Skills:
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and financial/credit check as part of the required childcare security clearance process.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and support non-technical users.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Optional (Nice to Have / Preferred) Requirements:

Education:

• Associate's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Familiarity with Student Information Systems (preferably Campus Cafe) or any other enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
• Basic knowledge of network configurations and IT infrastructure.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for Tier 2/3 support.
• Experience in delivering technical training sessions.
• IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional).
• Knowledge and experience working with relational databases
• Experience:
• Previous experience with Campus Cafe or similar Student Information Systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Complete security clearance process.
• Participate in initial training sessions with Campus Cafe staff (3-4 weeks online).
• Gather and document necessary technical and operational knowledge.
• Full-Time Onsite Support (December 9, 2024 - August 8, 2025):
• Provide onsite technical support during core hours (Monday to Friday, 9am - 4pm CST) to HINU faculty, staff, and students. (It is mandatory that this support be provided onsite at the University location.)
• Offer weekend support (up to 60 hours maximum total) as needed (10am - 2pm CST).
• Assist HINU staff with SIS-related issues and escalate complex problems to the Campus Cafe Helpdesk.
• Conduct training sessions for HINU staff on Campus Cafe features and administration.
• Ensure timely resolution of Tier 1 issues within one day, Tier 2 issues within four hours, and Tier 3 issues within one hour.
• Escalate especially difficult Tier 2 and 3 issues to Campus Café as appropriate and manage the Campus Café trouble tickets in such cases.
• Maintain and update technical documentation and FAQ repository.
• Generate and submit weekly help desk reports to HINU for evaluation.
• Additional Responsibilities:
• Provide limited ad hoc reporting using Campus Cafe’s reporting tools.
• Utilize self-help resources, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation to resolve issues locally.
• Collaborate with the ASO Systems team, Campus Cafe Software, and HINU faculty and staff, to ensure a smooth SIS implementation and user experience.
• Directly reports to and takes remote supervision from the ASO Systems’ Project Manager for the Campus Cafe implementation.

Job Type:

• Part-time Remote (September 9, 2024 - December 8, 2024) (approximately 5-20 hours per week)
• Full-time Onsite (December 9, 2024 - August 8, 2025) (40 hours per week plus a total maximum of 60 hours of overtime over this period)

Salary: Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
