Job Title: Hospital Answering Service Operator Location: Onsite - Boston, MA (Hospital District) Schedule: 24/7 Call Center - Flexible Scheduling About the Role Join a high-volume hospital answering service team supporting five major hospitals and over 260 smaller clinics. As an Operator, you'll work with a third-party call center service to triage a wide variety of incoming calls from patients and healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities + Handle approximately 200 calls per day from patients contacting hospitals and clinics. + Use internal databases to identify on-call contacts and route calls appropriately. + Meet performance metrics including 85% of calls answered within 30 seconds. + Maintain near-perfect attendance and strong schedule reliability. Top Must-Haves + Avid learner with a growth mindset + Competitive edge and drive to excel + Flexible availability (10-hour scheduling window) + Positive attitude and team spirit + Strong tenure and commitment + Near-perfect attendance record Shift Details + No fixed shifts - schedules are built within availability windows. + First Shift Availability: Between 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM + 2 roles require working every Sunday (Saturday + one weekday off) + 1 role requires working every Saturday (Sunday + one weekday off) + Second Shift Focus: Open to creating a custom 4x10 schedule (Friday-Monday) for the right candidate. + Training Schedule: Typically 10:30 AM - 6:30/7:00 PM + Weekend Requirement: All roles require working either Saturday or Sunday. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
