Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated intern to join our Hazardous Waste Management team for the summer of 2025. This internship offers hands-on experience in hazardous waste operations, compliance, and sustainability initiatives.​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in classifying, packaging, and coordinating the transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.​
  • Support compliance efforts with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.​
  • Participate in facility audits to ensure proper waste storage and handling.​
  • Help maintain accurate records of waste shipments, manifests, and disposal methods.​
  • Contribute to waste minimization and recycling initiatives.​
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to document and communicate project information effectively.​

Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Chemistry, or a related field.​
  • Academic Standing: Minimum of 60 credit hours completed with a GPA of 3.00 or higher.​
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.​ 
  • Certifications: 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus.​

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with RCRA and DOT regulations.​
  • Experience or coursework related to hazardous waste management.​
  • I am interested in pursuing a career in environmental services or waste management.​
