Experienced Wood Truss Designer

Open to Remote in US residents only.

We are an industry-leading manufacturer of building products and innovative solutions.

BASIC FUNCTION: Design wood trusses according to SBCA/TPI standards and recommendations and current building codes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Read and interpret architectural and structural truss drawings.
* Produce individual truss designs and final layouts for the roof or floor system.
* Provide engineering support to clients when needed.
* Work in partner with sales personnel to ensure individual client needs and expectations are being met.
* Resolves truss problems according to engineering specifications.
* Maintains knowledge of all department responsibilities and job functions for support.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

MiTek or Alpine Software experience

Experience designing for residential, custom, tract and multi-family projects

CAD experience

Computer drafting skills

Strong communication skills, written and verbal

Strong math skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks

At least five years of direct experience designing floor and roof trusses required
