Position Summary

Directs and oversees Non-Sterile Manufacturing Assembly, Shipping, and Planning/Procurement operations, providing strategic leadership to ensure alignment with current and future customer demand. Builds and develops a high-performing, agile team capable of supporting the evolving needs of the business and driving sustained operational excellence. 

What You’ll do as a Director of Manufacturing & Supply Chain

• Collaborate with the Senior Director of Operations to develop comprehensive departmental operating budgets and capacity planning models that support long-term growth and efficiency.
  Monitors key operational metrics across production, shipping, and inventory to ensure alignment with financial targets, safety standards, quality benchmarks, and on-time delivery goals.
• Strategically deploys management resources to optimize support for assembly production teams and cross functional departments, ensuring seamless execution of operational priorities.
• Champions succession planning initiatives by identifying high-potential talent and providing targeted developmental opportunities to foster professional growth and leadership readiness.
• Drives operational excellence by coordinating and resourcing initiatives that support the Strategic Deployment Plan (True North), ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Aligns departmental capabilities to effectively support new product introductions and product line expansions, enabling successful market launches and scalability.
• Leads layout design and optimization efforts, leveraging experience in facility expansion and workflow efficiency to enhance operational throughput and flexibility.
• Promotes a lean culture by fostering a work environment focused on waste elimination, Customer satisfaction, market competitiveness through Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Collaborate with peers to define and implement meaningful KPIs, ensuring performance indicators are aligned with annual operational plans and continuous improvement objectives.
• Provides strategic leadership in talent management and organizational development, overseeing staffing, promotions, and performance accountability while actively contributing to the creation of policies, standard procedures, and long-range strategic planning initiatives.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree 
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in shipping & logistics experience in an FDA regulated environment
• Leadership experience in high-volume FDA regulated manufacturing environment
• Experience leading planning & procurement teams
• Prior experience managing large cross-functional project teams in complex manufacturing environments
• Prior experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle are a plus)
• Prior experience with barcoding systems

Preferred:

• Graduate degree highly desirable
• Medical device experience  
• Lean Six Sigma background  
• Expertise with barcoding program implementation

• Excellent verbal/communications skills
• Ability to motivate team efforts to accomplish goals
• Experience with warehouse storage optimization and /or expansions

Pay rate for this opportunity is $141,737 - $175,087 . This position is eligible for bonus participation. 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
