CNC Programmer/Machinist

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist with a strong background in  machining to join our team. This individual will be responsible for programming, setting up, and optimizing CNC machines to produce precision components, as well as supporting fabrication processes such as cutting, forming, and welding. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-minded, and capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for machining centers, lathes, using Mastercam.
• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts to tight tolerances per engineering drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, GD&T symbols, and job orders to determine machining sequences and requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
• Select proper tooling, cutting speeds, feeds, and fixtures for optimal efficiency and part quality.
• Inspect finished products using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain, adjust, and repair CNC machines as needed to ensure proper operation.
• Participate in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies at all times.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in CNC programming, machining, and fabrication.
• Proficiency in Mastercam.
• Strong knowledge of machining practices, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills.
