Sr. AWS AI Cloud Engineer - Remote

Job Description

If you have AWS Cloud and AI experience this is a great opportunity. We are looking a Sr. IT Systems Engineer to partner with Architecture to build out operational support of AI.

The Sr. IT Systems Engineer is responsible for constructing creative and logical detail designs based on architectural guidance. This position is responsible for being a deep subject matter expert and performing activities required for the support of secured IT infrastructure. This position is also responsible for managing work direction, leading, and influencing other engineers to achieve results.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with AI Architecture to build out operational support of AI.
  • Designing, building, and supporting applications in AWS using common AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and Containers.
  • Significant experience with core AWS services (VPC, CloudWatch, compute, networking, storage)
  • Partnering with IT and product teams to understand/develop project scope and design solutions.
  • Writing and supporting Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
  • Experience identifying, developing, and implementing automation opportunities.
  • Identifying, developing, implementing, and driving standards and their adoption.
  • Manage work direction, lead and influence, mentor, and provide feedback to others within team
  • Oversee execution of key strategic initiatives
  • Create and conduct logical design based on architectural reviews
  • Serve as collaborate pivot point between the engineers and management
  • Other duties as assigned


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Proven experience communicating effectively to multiple subjects and audiences
  • Experience with specific domain relevant to team
  • 5 years of experience with infrastructure technologies - Cloud AI Services
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

  • Ability to transition abstract concepts into technical deployment designs
  • Ability to develop decision criteria and develop unbiased technology comparisons
  • Strong problem-solving and business analysis skills
  • Strong traits of decisiveness and judgment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) administration and support
  • Supporting/deploying AWS or GCP AI services such as Bedrock, Claude, Vertex AI, Gemini
  • Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
  • Previous experience in PBM / health care industry
  • Understanding of security implications of domain
  • ITIL Foundations Certification
  • Desire to work in management and lead others


Physical Demands

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, overtime, on-call, and shifts outside of Prime's core business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

Potential pay for this position ranges from $94,000.00 - $160,000.00 based on experience and skills.
