**Responsibilities** **Position Summary:** The CLS performs a variety of technical analyses, verifies results and assures quality and accuracy of tests under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor(s), Laboratory Manager(s), Laboratory Administrative Director, and Laboratory Medical Director (Pathologist). **Qualifications** Minimum: + Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Technologist license + Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science from an accredited institution. + Ability to demonstrate a familiarity and understanding of medical terminology, typing, math and computer skills + Requires one (1) year of training post baccalaureate Preferred: + Two (2) years working in a laboratory setting; Co-op or internship experience in a laboratory setting or prior acute care experience **Overview** Dominican Hospital (a member of Dignity Health) is a 222-bed facility that offers a wide range of services to residents of California's Central Coast.
