Position Summary
This position is responsible for driving our cargo van and picking up donations from the Blue Donation Bins, work with the food pantry as needed, along with special pick-ups as requested weekly. Load and unload merchandise on van. Maintain the highest standards of professionalism and courtesy in working with our donors so their experience is positive and inspires them to donate again. This position also includes baling of clothing and handling of donations in any area or department and other duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a valid Indiana Driver’s License and a good driving record and be able to perform each common and essential duty satisfactorily. Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be required to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, push or pull, and talk or hear; and often stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The required weight lifted or force exerted is often 50lbs and more. Vision requirements include normal close (20 inches or less) and distance (20 feet or more), depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Vision must be suitable for driving and navigating uneven terrain while carrying heavy loads. Must be capable of driving for long periods of time.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to frequent moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions; often exposed to vibration; and occasional wet or humid conditions (non-weather), and toxic or caustic chemicals. The typical noise level in the environment is moderate.
