Job Description

A talented and driven Associate Business Litigation Attorney with 3-5 years' experience is needed in Washington DC. The successful candidate will have a strong background in handling complex business disputes and a passion for delivering exceptional legal representation.

Associate Business Litigation Attorney Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload involving complex business disputes, ensuring efficient and effective resolution through all phases of litigation.
  • Legal Research and Writing: Conduct thorough legal research and draft high-quality legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
  • Discovery and Depositions: Lead discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, managing document production, and conducting and defending depositions.
  • Court Appearances: Represent clients in court hearings and trials, delivering persuasive arguments and managing evidentiary presentations.
  • Client Interaction: Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and regular updates on case progress and strategy.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with senior attorneys, partners, and other legal professionals to develop and implement comprehensive litigation strategies.

Associate Business Litigation Attorney Responsibilities:

  • JD from a top 50 law school, with strong academic credentials.
  • 3-5 years of substantive experience in business litigation, ideally within an AmLaw 200 firm or similar setting.
  • Active admission to and in good standing with the DC Bar.
  • Current or previous employment with an AmLaw 200 firm.
  • Deep understanding of how the legal industry works in Washington DC.
  • Exceptional legal writing, negotiation, and analytical abilities. Proven skill in managing multiple priorities in a dynamic setting while maintaining keen attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to build and maintain client relationships through effective communication and service delivery.
