Job Summary
We are seeking an Activities Director to plan, organize, and oversee a variety of recreational, cultural, and social activities for our facility. The Activities Director will be responsible for creating engaging programs that cater to the interests of our residents and promote their physical and mental well-being.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field.
Previous experience in planning and implementing activities for diverse populations.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and community members.
Knowledge of regulations and best practices related to recreational activities for seniors (if applicable).
Responsibilities
Develop a calendar of activities that includes a variety of options to meet the needs and preferences of residents.
Coordinate with staff to ensure activities are implemented effectively and safely.
Evaluate the success of programs and gather feedback from residents to make improvements.
Manage a budget for activities and seek out opportunities for sponsorship or donations.
Collaborate with community organizations to enhance the activity offerings for residents.
